Council for the Advancement of Black Engineers

 

The mission of the CABE is “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers with PhD’s, post-doctoral training and professional engineering registrations.”

These aims shall be pursued through the following objectives:

  • Increase population of Black Engineers in academia and industry
  • Intentional mentoring, personal development
  • Direct contact with potential employers, coordination with professional societies
  • Support and aid in business and career development
  • Promote public awareness of advanced degreed engineering and the opportunities for Blacks in the profession
  • Function as a representative body on issues and developments that affect the careers of advanced Black Engineers
